In the next step, the horn is welded vertically at the speed of 2000 KHZ to 40000 KHZ times per second. This is done for a predetermined amount of time which is known as weld time.
In the next step, a clamping force is maintained for a predetermined amount of time to allow the parts to fuse as the melted plastic cools. This is also known as hold time.
This is the last step of the working of ultrasonic plastic welding. Once the metal-plastic gets solidified then all the clamping force is removed and the horn is retracted. The two different plastic parts are now joined together and united in one.
